The police are currently investigating the fatal accident involving a pedestrian identified as Randall Housey and a car being driven by Wappinger resident, 76-year-old Valentine Condon.
Police report that Housey was pronounced dead at the Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital where he was brought following the accident.
According to the report, Condon initially left the scene unaware she had struck Housey. She was located by police shortly after and, police report she has been investigating with the investigation.
The Sheriff's department is still investigating the cause of the accident.
